Business partnerships and marriages are stressful all on their own, with the former often ending in acrimony and the latter, many times concluding in a bitter divorce.

An intertwining of interests is also what makes both their work partnership and marriage flourish, say successful restaurateurs Jeanne and Frank Cretella.

The Lighthouse Hill couple tried several different types of enterprises, finally settling in their current careers when they fell in love with food.

That love, combined with their natural propensity for hospitality, led them, after owning restaurants in many locations in the city, to their two New Jersey restaurants, Stone House and Liberty House, and their latest catering venture, Celebrate at Snug Harbor.

“If it’s just a job, you’re working every day,” Cretella said, “but if it’s a job you love, you never work a day in your life.”
