Stone House at Stirling Ridge offers an atmosphere that is up-scale, elegant and warm. It is an environment that invites the enjoyment of great food, fabulous drinks and good people, topped off with a friendly, courteous, and professional service. I found out about this jem, from their review in the New York Times!

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

Read what (201) Bride, Kaitlin Waldron had the say about Liberty House...

Right after we chose the date and made sure the church was available, we started the hunt for the perfect place to have the reception.

We looked at a lot of places in a short amount of time— Mike, my mom, sister and I were out on the hunt! My sister didn’t miss a moment, even though she had to bring her kids and deal with a thrown out back. That shows serious dedication!

In a few days, we saw The Venetian, The Estate at Florentine Gardens, Frank's Waterside, Jersey City Hyatt, Chart House, Battery Gardens, The Ritz Carlton in downtown Manhattan, Park Savoy and Westmount Country Club. They were all very beautiful places, just not what I was looking for.

We wanted a great view of New York City because the city is very special to us. We both work there, our first date was there, and when we get married we will be living there. So, we decided that being in New Jersey would provide the best views of Manhattan.

The second we walked into Liberty House in Jersey City, Mike and I both looked at each other and said, “This is the one!”

It is exactly what we were looking for—a loft-type space, in true Manhattan style, with a beautiful view of Manhattan.

There were a few things that just made this place perfect, like the nice, long driveway to get there, the incredible views, and the fact that you can have your cocktail hour in an entirely different spot than your reception.

The style is modern yet elegant, and the food is amazing.

Mike and I went there for Valentine’s Day and they treated us like royalty. Danielle Villa, the event coordinator at Liberty House, is friendly and very up on the trends. I am really looking forward to doing A LOT of planning with her! As we all know, the person that you will be working with can almost be as important as the place.

Liberty House is perfect for us. It’s exactly what we envisioned when we started the hunt.
